To feed all of your body, spirit and mind to the task of surviving the rigors of the search. To march yourself, battered, through drowned valleys and arid tundras? To chase consciousness and truth, and realize that neither will stay while the other's in hand.

The search is not for the swift, but for those who can endure.

I endured it. I sought it. I found my paradise.

A world only ever glimpsed through neon skylines reflected by puddles in concrete. Where sound, sight and soul are as distinct and as revered as the natural elements, yet find a way to co-exist in each and every tangible moment.

I found a place that lifted my dreams into the tangible and carried me aloft into a future where all habitable realms exist just beyond the grasp of pain.

I found my home.

And now, after it’s all done, and the gates lay open to me… how strong must I be to turn my back? To forsake my realized dream, and return to the lands of men? How strong must I be, when I know that should I even glance back I’ll never be able to leave her shores again.

I’ll be lost, for all time, to the world that knew my name.
